What we store on your device
Solanaceae saves your in-progress garden plan in your browser's localStorage so you can come back on the same device without starting over.
- Draft key:
solanaceae-planner-draft— ZIP, beds, crops, harvest amounts, and wizard step. - Advanced mode:
solanaceae-advanced-gardener— whether you turned on extra technical detail in the planner.
Use Clear saved progress on the planner to remove the draft. Clearing site data in your browser removes both keys.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for basic, privacy-focused traffic metrics (page views, no third-party ad cookies). See Vercel's privacy policy for how they handle that data.
What we send to our server
When you enter a ZIP code, the planner asks our server for USDA zone and frost timing for that ZIP. We do not ask for your name, email, or street address.
What we don't do today
- No accounts or sign-in
- No selling your data
- No email collection in the planner
Coming later
Optional accounts to save and open the same plan on another device are planned. When that ships, this page will be updated with what is stored in the cloud and how to delete it.
Your choices
- Clear saved progress in the planner, or remove site data in browser settings.
- Block or limit analytics with browser extensions or network filters.
- Use a private window if you do not want a draft to persist after you close the tab.
